BIO.

Hi, I’m Giulia Elba. I live in Auckland, New Zealand, with my husband, Paul, and our one year old son, Orlando. 

In the life span of four years following the America’s Cup, we lived in the United States, moving between Pensacola (FL) and Newport (RI), Lake Garda (ITALY) and Bermuda.

I was born and raised in Italy, and was lucky enough to spend my days by the lake and mountains. I’ve always been a passionate sailor and spent my teenage years Laser 4.7 sailing and Melges 20 sailing meanwhile I was in University. My husband and I met Melges 20 sailing and had a small wedding in Lake Garda, Italy, in the same place where our story started.

Had a “proper” Fashion education with a degree in Fashion Marketing at the Istituto Europeo di Design of Milan, where I graduated in June 2013 with a thesis on the impact of sports, more specifically surfing, on the Fashion world.

I am a Scorpio and I am constantly inspired by exploring new places and fresh starts. I love traveling with my little family and sharing glimpses of our life together.

WORK.

I am a freelance communications consultant and digital editor. I’ve been wisely following dedicated digital projects and social media accounts where I could pour my heart into. During the last year however I have been mostly enjoying being a mother.

I’ve been Social Media Manager for the Swedish challenger 'Artemis Racing' for the 35th America's Cup in Bermuda, the oldest trophy in history and most prestigious sailing competition since 1851.

My last corporate job before going freelancing was in Max Mara Fashion Group in a Communication Office, where I was in charge of the management of one of the brand’s e-commerce shooting production.
